Palak opens up on her first day shoot experience on the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

MUMBAI: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the top-rated shows of the small screen. The daily has been running on the TV screens for almost 11 years and is very much popular among the fans. Each character of the show has become a household name now.

With time, many actors bid adieu to the show for various reasons and were then replaced by new actors. One of them is Sonu Bhide whose character was replaced by Palak Sidhwani. Nidhi Bhanushali previously played the role of Sonu.

In a candid chat with TellyChakkar.com Palak Sidhwani spoke about her first day shoot experience on Tarak Mehta… sets. She said, “The makers asked my parents to also come along on my first day on the set as it would make me comfortable. First day on the sets is till date my most favourite days, I was quite nervous and excited. I had wished for it for a long time and was quite excited that it had manifested and I’m actually on the sets shooting the show. I was also facing performance pressure because there were so many senior and veteran actors that I felt very nervous and made sure to not make any mistakes. Thankfully, everyone on the sets were extremely warm, especially my director Malav bhai, he is like a family to me and he was there for me on that day and till date I’ve got his back”.

She further added, “Later, I got to know that I’m supposed to dance in my first shot and suddenly I was quite happy and pumped up. I really like to dance my worries away and that’s what happened that day. I performed on Malhari song and the sequence got wrapped up sooner than what the makers thought. The choreographer present there, Amar Sir also appreciated me and pumped me up to keep up the good work. All the appreciations really built up my confidence and encouraged me. So, all and all, the day has been quite memorable and I will cherish the same throughout my life. Every minute detail related to that day is still fresh in my mind”.
