MUMBAI: Popular TV actor Angad Hasija, who is well-known for his role in Star Plus' show Bidaai, is currently ruling several hearts with his stellar performance in Sony SAB's Ziddi Dil Maane Na.
Angad made a smashing comeback on the small screens with this show, and he is seen in a totally different avatar.
The actor plays the role of Kundan in the show. He is seen in a negative avatar.
Angad's entry has brought interesting twists and turns in the story.
The actor is seen as Diljot Chhabra aka Sanju's fiance.
A lot of drama is set to take place as Sanju and Kundan's wedding celebrations have kickstarted.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Angad, who spoke about his character Kundan and much more.
You came back to doing TV shows after a long time with Ziddi Dil Maane Na. What made you choose this role and this show?
I found Kundan's character very interesting when I got the briefing of it. It has a lot of shades and variations in the character. I always wish to do something challenging in all my roles. Whenever I take up the show, my character is extremely different from what I have done before. I was thinking about taking up a role that has some grey shades. The viewers will get to see more layers of my character soon. I really thought I should do this role. I am very happy that a lot of people refer to me as Kundan ji whenever they bump into me.
Tell us about your camaraderie with Diljot Chabbra and Kunal Karan Kapoor as you have done quite a lot of scenes with them.
I have had a great experience with Diljot and Karan. I have started knowing them ever since I have worked with them here. They were new to me but now I don't feel that way. Everyone is just too amazing. I enjoy working with them. Diljot and I always talk about gymming and diet. My overall experience on the set has been very good.
Acting has given you loads of fame. What inspired you to take up this profession?
This is something that not many are aware of. My mother wished to see me as an actor. I took up a career in acting because of my mom and I am still doing it for her. She is very happy that her dream is fulfilled. If not an actor, I would have been an architect. I am still handling my architectural business.
