MUMBAI: Gautam Vig is a well-known television actor who is best known for his performance in serials like Ishq Subhan Allah, Tantra, and Pinjara Khubsurati Ka etc.

These days he has been grabbing headlines for his participation in the reality show Bigg Boss Season 16, where he came across as a strong contestant of the show in the initial days, but recently his game dropped down a bit.

His relationship with Soundarya Sharma was the main talking point, both inside and outside of the house, and the fans felt that they made a good couple.

Unfortunately, the actor’s journey came to an end and he was evicted during the ‘Shukarvaar Ka Vaar’ episode.

TellyChakkar has got in touch with the actor and asked him whether he was insecure about Soundarya and Shalin building a friendship, and whether he thinks that Bigg Boss is biased or not.

Are you insecure or do you have a fear about Soundarya and Shalin’s friendship in the house?

No, I don’t have any fear or any insecurities about Shalin and Soundarya’s friendship. What hurt me was that it was less than 24 hrs since I was evicted from the house that she started to talk to him and build an alliance. If she wanted to build an alliance, she should have done so with Sajid Khan, MC Stan, or someone else. Why go and build a bond with the person that I am not comfortable with. I don’t think she needs anyone’s help to play the game. She has a very strong personality, and to be honest, Shalin’s relationship cannot be true. Everything is for the game and nothing else.

Do you think that Bigg Boss is biased against any contestant?

I have heard from people who participated in previous seasons that maybe the contestants are the channel's face. I also did two shows on COLORS, so I don’t know what bias is there as per people’s perception. I think they have a few people where favouritism is shown. These days, the audience feel that Bigg Boss is biased to Sajid Khan and his group. But I think they are showing them so much that the audience will hate them, and then from there Bigg Boss will start to play the game, because currently everyone is being good and playing the game. It seems to be biased but later on, she will turn the game.

Did you see your friendship with Shalin ending in the game?

It had to happen someday since during my captaincy task I had told Bigg Boss where he was wrong, and hence BB had punished him. So, he couldn’t become the captain of the house, and so his ego got hurt and was nominated also. All these grudges were building up and he was holding on to it, so one day the friendship had to end.
