MUMBAI: A show is not just about a team of actors who play different roles. It involves a lot of other people who are there behind the camera. 

Casting directors are one of them who are responsible for choosing an appropriate artist for a particular role. 

Well, they are equally responsible for the success of the show as they are the ones who have chosen the right actor or actress for the same.

The television industry has a lot of casting directors who have managed to give breaks to many actors who are now well-known television stars. 

TellyChakkar got in touch with Sabir Ali who worked as a casting director for Sphere Origins. 

Sabir spoke in length about his journey in this popular production house. 

Speaking about the same he said, ''The journey has been incredible, a great learning platform and it gave me an enhanced vision as a casting director. The journey from becoming ordinary to extraordinary began with Sphere Origin.''

He further added, “I worked with Sphere Origins for 7 years. Casting to me was understood in layman term as just choosing people for the story. However, working with Sphere Origins changed my vision from finding people to choosing characters. Now I pick characters, create them & provide emotions to the viewers by choosing the most suited face for the required emotion.''

Sabir also spoke about his views on how casting directors don't get their due recognition. 

He said, ''I would say it is true as the casting takes a lot of efforts, think through the process to choose the right face for the story, all the tiniest details which are being understood by casting director results in crafting the right character. However, the industry does not give the due credit especially the TV industry.''

He is currently working as a freelance casting director. 

Well, Sabir has had a flourishing career in the industry till now and we wish him all the very best for his future endeavours. 

Sabir now owns his own casting agency named Newways Casting Studio.
