MUMBAI: Star Plus' show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been running successfully on the small screens for 12 years now. The show has managed to garner rave reviews from the audiences ever since the beginning. 

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai witnessed several leaps over the years and we also saw many characters making an entry and exit.

Hina Khan, Karan Mehra, Sonali Verma, Sandeep Mehta, Nidhi Uttam, Mohena Kumari Singh, Rohan Mehra, Kanchi Singh, among others who played pivotal roles on the show are no more a part of it.

As the story progressed, the show saw a lot of changes. The creative team of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is leaving no chance to bring interesting twists and turns in the story to make sure to keep the viewers hooked to the show.

Well, we saw many pivotal characters bidding adieu to the show for various reasons and their characters were never brought back.

The Singhania family has witnessed some tragic incidents where they have lost some important members of their family including Gayatri Singhania (Naitik's mother and Akshara's mother-in-law), Akshara (Naitik's wife and Naira's mother) and lately Naira Goenka (Kartik's wife and Naitik-Akshara's daughter).

The trio's death took place on the show in a gap of few years, but it definitely created a huge impact on the show.  

However, not many have noticed that there's a connection between Gayatri, Akshara and Naira's death.

We all know how Gayatri slipped off the high mountains and fought for her life but she lost her balance and breathed her last after falling from a great height.

The same happened with Akshara's character. Her character was shown dead as she met with a car accident and fell off a cliff.

Naira's death track was recently shown on the show where she lost her balance and fell off a cliff in front of her entire family.

All the three generations of ladies of the Singhania family had a tragic death and that too in the same manner.

While Hina and Sonali aka Akshara’s and Gayatri's characters permanently bid adieu, Shivangi is currently seen as Sirat who is Naira's lookalike.

It is such a big coincidence and the show's viewership increased threefold while it witnessed these tragic sequences.
