I think sky is the limit for me and I have got wings, so don't ever stop me: Roop Durgapal

A page from the personal diary of Roop Durgapal Hello everyone, this is Roop Durgapal aka Saanchi of Balika Vadhu on Colors. Today I am here to introduce me to you. Let me start it this way, I am an engineering graduate from Dehradun and born and brought up in Almora. Now you might be thinking as to why did an engineer think of becoming an actor, isn’t it? Well, I did my engineering for my parent’s satisfaction while I ventured into acting for my personal will. Since I always wanted to see myself on screen and be famous, so I decided to come down to Mumbai, the city of dreams. When I first came to Mumbai I saw that there were many people like me who had also come down here to pursue their dreams. But I was lucky somewhere that while auditioning for a particular commercial, I got a call from DD National to play a cameo for a daily soap Shama. While doing Shama, I also did many commercial and print ads as well. I was never out of work because I am of the type who likes to keep myself busy. My identity got noticed only after I got to play Saanchi in Balika Vadhu. Acting was something that I learnt on sets; the sets were my classroom to grow every single day and imbibe different types of roles. My experience so far has been awesome while there is a lot more to come. I think sky is the limit and I got wings, so don’t ever stop me. Right now, I am totally occupied with Balika Vadhu and it’s an achievement on its own that I got to play in the top rated show on television. I have a very good bonding with the entire cast and crew of my beloved show. I have only one wish and that is to act in a show full of romance and love. In real life, I am very ambitious and have a go-for-it kind of an attitude. I am a very fun loving and happy go lucky kind of girl too. I always prefer staying away from stress and believe in smiling all the time in order to stay away from worries. For me life is today and it’s a gift of God. So, I believe in doing everything today; who has seen tomorrow? So folks, this is me your Saanchi aka Roop Durgapal taking leave for now.
