MUMBAI: As IPL 2025 progresses, cricket fans could be witnessing one last iconic face-off between two of the league’s greatest figures—Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. While Kohli continues to dominate the IPL record books with both career and season-specific milestones, Dhoni’s legacy, especially against RCB and at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, remains exceptional.

MS Dhoni, meanwhile, has tormented RCB over the years. He has tallied 894 runs against them at an average of 40.6 and a striking rate of 143. At the Chinnaswamy alone, Dhoni has notched up 489 runs in 13 matches, boasting an extraordinary average of 81.5 and a staggering strike rate of 181.11. His best effort against RCB is an unforgettable 84, marked by sheer timing and power under pressure.
This season, Kohli is in sublime form, having scored 443 runs in 10 games. Dhoni, now primarily playing the role of finisher, has chipped in with 151 runs in the same number of outings.
Kohli also holds the all-time record for most runs in IPL history—8,447—far ahead of Dhoni’s 5,394, further highlighting his batting dominance over the years.
