MUMBAI: Iqbaal Rizzvi has made a place for himself in the TV industry. He is known for directing Star Plus’ Love Ka Hai Intezaar wherein Sanjeeda Shaikh and Keith Sequeira played the lead roles.

The director is now gearing up for his new project, an experimental short film titled My Unblood Brother. As per a report in India Forums, the film is an emotional story of two people living across different continents and how one random action entwines their lives forever. The base concept of the film is suicide prevention, a subject close to the heart of director Rizzvi. He said that “in today's world where a suicide-related incident takes place every 24 minutes, it is imperative for us as filmmakers to highlight this issue.”

The short film has been entirely shot on a mobile phone without the additional use of any other equipment. He shot the film over eight days on a road trip across the Republic of Ireland, and back home in India, the film was further shot in Shimla. Keeping in mind the realism of the film, Rizzvi took on the challenge of casting a debutant in the role of the main protagonist.

Talking about the film and his willingness to showcase it to more people, Rizzvi said, "I am looking to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to create more awareness at a larger level." The film is all set to premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Ireland 2019 on the 16th of November. He said that since the film was majorly shot in Ireland it is only appropriate to premiere it there first.
