After garnering a tremendous viewer response, SAB TV’s much loved show FIR (Edit 2 Productions) is all set to take an exciting 20-year leap. Soon after the leap, Chitrashi Rawat will be seen as Jwalamukhi Chautala the lead protagonist of the show. Furthermore, the 20 year leap ensures double entertainment and action as the powerful characters Jwalamukhi Chautala, Gopi and Billu continue to indulge in entertaining antics while they attempt to solve cases. The story will begin with the docile, innocent Jwalamukhi Chautala transforming into a fiery woman with the crime rate increasing in Ravanpur. There the atmosphere changes for good after the entry of Jwalamukhi who takes over Iman Chowki with her unique style of simplicity as well as dabangg attitude. Speaking about the leap, Anooj Kapoor, EVP and Business Head, SAB TV said, “Since its inception, FIR has received an overwhelming response from the viewers and it continues to generate popularity. Backed by a powerful concept and strong characters that redefined television, the show has been a runaway success. The 20-year leap has been conceived to add more elements of entertainment to the show. We are confident that, with the new cast and a progressive storyline, viewers will continue to enjoy the show.” Taking over the mantle of Jwalamukhi Chautala, an excited Chitrashi Rawat describes her role thus, “I am truly honoured to be a part of the FIR team and, moreover, to play the successor of Chandramukhi Chautala. My role in the show is that of a sweet and shy bespectacled girl who believes in pleasing people. When she sees atrocities committed against women, she turns into a super woman. My avatar will have a strong resemblance with my on-screen mother (Chandramukhi Chautala). I will be giving in my best shot as Jwalamukhi Chautala and hope that the audiences loves me in my new avatar.” Rest of the cast will include Gopi Bhalla, Sandeep Anand, Sapna Shikarwar, Dipesh Bhan, Manju Sharma, Prana Mishra, Mohit Mattu, Suresh Chatwal and Nirmal Soni.
