There are actors, and there is Karan Tacker.
Drop his name and industry folks will swear by his professionalism. Yes, such is the good reputation of this young dynamic face, who in his impressive career span, has emerged as producers’ favourite.
He began his career with Love Ne Mila Di Jodi and struck gold with his performance as Viren in Star Plus’ Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai.
That he is one helluva actor is common knowledge, but he also knows how to keep scribes busy writing about him via his affair stories in personal life.
Given his Greek God looks, girls are meant to swoon over him. He is the wet dream of women from all across the globe, and now and then, news about him being in love with his co stars keep featuring in glossies.
But the kid has now grown up. He has become mature and has decided to use his gift of the gab to make the society a better place to live in.
As a host of Disney Bindass’ Halla Bol, Karan will be seen in an all new avatar, which will only throttle his career graph upwards.
The show is an extension of Bindaas TV’s new campaign 'B for Change' and it talks about empowering the women of today and eradicating victimization of women through various crimes such as sexual harassment, rape, physical abuse etc. The first episode which will flag off from 28 February and will air on Fridays at 7 pm.
Talking about the show and chatting exclusively with Tellychakkar.com, Karan opens up on his new venture: “I feel women today need the courage to face these fears in order to eradicate them from the roots. I took up this project as it highlights and primarily focuses on issues women deal with today and I do not think that this kind of show exists on television, as of now. I would personally love to see more of such initiative on small screen so that we go on to nail the issues haunting women.”
Intelligent words!!!
Since the opening episode will feature Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, we wonder if the production house (Red Dot) is trying to keep up with the glam quotient. “Well be it Bollywood or television actors, we all would like to get associated with initiative generating social awareness and that can happen by attracting eyeballs. It is just that what the government might not be able to do, we actors are doing it.”
Karan further claims that anchoring happens to be his obvious step in career progression and he is not facing any challenges while anchoring the show.
He states, “Well, I have anchored earlier too on a show titled Star Sansaar on Star Plus. So this is not my debut as an anchor. But while shooting for Halla Bol I just felt compassionate towards the problems women face today.”
