Zing’s Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya has always epitomized stories centering around ‘passion’, ‘love’ and ‘romance’.
The series depicting various cute and endearing love tales with a difference has had a successful run of 9 seasons. Vikas Gupta’s Lost Boy Productions has been churning really riveting love stories for nearly 135 episodes now.
But a recent development with regards to Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya is that Lost Boy Productions has apparently moved out of the show.
Yes, Lost Boy will no longer be producing the series. And taking it place as producers will be Esselvision.
A credible source tells us, “Lost Boy has wrapped up their association with respect to the Zing show. The shoot for the 10thseason of PTKK has begun with Esselvision helming it.”
With this information, we tried to get into the matter further.
Another of our close industry source told us, “Lost Boy is actually working on a new concept for a rival channel, which might probably clash with the time slot of PTKK. Hence, they had to choose between the two. Going ahead in their plans of working on the new show, Lost Boy Productions has amicably moved out of the Zing popular series. Also, one of the reasons for this development apparently stemmed out of the fact that the monies for PTKK has been slashed this time around.”
We buzzed and even sent out a text message to Nitin Keni, COO, Esselvision Productions, but received no reply till we filed the story.
We also contacted Vikas Gupta, Lost Boy Productions and he confirmed the news saying, “Yes, we will not be doing PTKK after doing 9 seasons. The show has become Number 1 beating the likes of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Roadies etc. We are very proud of it. Zee has been wonderful with us and we wish Esselvision all the luck to take the legacy forward.”
As we know, Zing is owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises.
