Manish Paul to play the lead in Star Plus' new comedy show

Manish Paul who was last seen hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee will now be seen playing the lead in Star Plus' new weekend Comedy show. Neela Telefilms who began their stint on Star Plus with Saarthi are back with the channel. The production house is set to launch its new weekend comedy show. Currently Neela Telefilms has two shows on air - the long running Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB and the recently launched Krishnaben Khakhrawala on Sony. A source says, “We are getting back to Star Plus after a long long time. We are also bringing back the weekend slot for the channel. We have signed on Manish Paul to play the lead. This is for the first time we are attempting a comedy show for Star that too at a new time slot. The show will air by January end or early February. The rest of the details are still being worked upon.” Manish Paul confirmed his presence in the show however refused to comment further. Asit Modi remained unavailable for comment.
