Mumbai diaries: Aparna Dixit talks about life in the metro city

Aparna Dixit

Aparna Dixit, the name needs no introduction. Currently mesemerizing us with her performance in Life OK’s daily drama Kalash, Aparna has established herself as one of the prominent leading ladies in the industry.

Hailing from the town of Agra, Aparna has shifted her base to Mumbai three years ago. In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com Aparna opens up about her beautiful journey from Agra to Mumbai.

Aparna shares, “It’s been almost three and a half years that I have shifted to Mumbai to pursue my career in acting. Since the time the city has given me work, name and a lot of things, but at the same time I have lost all the small little happiness of life. Back in Agra, my father used to be back by six pm from office and post his return we used to have our own family time. On a contrary in the hustle bustle of Mumbai, I hardly find any time for myself.”

“You know I have a very beautiful window at my place, but have no time to look at the sky. Yes, the sense of independence is for sure delighting but at times it becomes too lonely. When my family visits me here, I feel the urge of coming back to my home, otherwise for me, my home is a place to have food and take rest”, adds Aparna.

Aparna believes that in order to strive in the competitive world, it is indeed needed to run in the rat race.

So, what has been some pleasing and heartwarming experience for Aparna in the city? With a smile on her face, she replies, “Mumbai, I believe is the safest metro city of the nation. Even if I have to return to home from work at odd hours, it is not an issue. Moreover, if I ever want to go out at night I can visit places like Marine drive or other beach to enjoy some time with myself.”

On asked what does she misses most in the city? “Of course it is my family. But, what I miss the most is my mother’s love. Before going to bed, she pats my head till today. Hence, whenever she is here or I visit home, I ask her to do so. And when she is not around, I terribly miss her affectionate patting.”

Aww that’s really sweet dear lady!!!
