Muskaan Arora wants to be known as Nancy James

Muskaan Arora
What’s in a name goes a famous proverb. Ask the actress, who played Sakshi in Sahara One’s show, Mata Ki Chowki, and you would surely get a satisfying answer. Why is that so you would ask, here’s the dope. The TV star in question is Muskaan Arora, but that is not her real name. In fact, Muskaan is her pet name and her real name is Nancy James. Incidentally, this name was given by her aunt who is a big fan of Nancy Drew novels, when the actress was born. What about the surname Arora? Before you jump to conclusions, let Tellychakkar.com inform you that Arora was Nancy’s surname, before her father converted to Christianity. “But since this conversion happened before my birth, the surname was never used after my name, that’s why even my passport bears the name Nancy James,” reveals Nancy. And while Muskaan was known by her real name all this while, things changed when she entered the advertising world. “My friends used to address me by my pet name and that way others too started using the name and I didn’t mind it,” she tells us. But the credits of her mythological series started showing her name as Muskaan Nancy James. And now she wants to be known as Nancy James. “I have realized that people would never know my real name, hence I am insisting on using Nancy James,” she ends.
