The Kundali Bhagya actor believes that this is due to overexposure. He believes that TV actors are not given enough opportunities. He said , “ Every actor, irrespective of the medium, is very exposed today. Why is that a handicap? Exposure translates into more following, and that’s what I bring to the table. My fight today is to get the respect I deserve.”

Dheeraj also explained that he is a part of the entertainment industry and he shouldn’t be slotted as a TV artiste. He also mentioned that the lines of OTT and TV actors are blurring. He said, “Casting directors appreciate our talent, but the minute they get to know that we are from television, they change their minds. We shouldn’t be treated like a pariah. I want to explore every medium simultaneously.”

Dheeraj also stated that people assume that just because TV actors are busy doing a daily soap, they won’t be able to take up another project. But they can too strike a balance between two projects.
