Pooja Gor in Pearl Grey’s debut show

Pearl Grey (formerly Shahi), who was earlier creative head of Zee TV, is all set to begin a career in production. Come November, Grey will mark her debut as a producer with a daily fiction that will air either on Star Plus or Star One. Grey’s company is called as Spellbound productions. Tentatively titled as Pratha, this daily will have Pooja Gor (aka Purvi Sharma of Kitani Mohabbat Hai fame) playing the lead. Rookie actor Arhaan Behl marks his debut with the show. Talking about the show, a source says, “This prime time daily was initially designed for Star Plus. However, Star India officials are reviving their sister channel Star One. So, the show could switch over there. That will be decided in the next few days. If that were to happen then, it will be the first family, social drama on Star One, which has till now been a youth orientated, urban centric channel.” Adding further the source says, “The working title is Pratha, who also happens to be the lead character of the show. Pooja Gor plays this role. The show depicts the life and struggle of an educated middle class girl from Allahabad. Girls don’t get much freedom in this state and their parents usually marry them off at an early age. Eve teasing is a common sight in these parts of the country. The show will also focus on his angle.” When contacted, the debutant producer said, “My first project will launch next month. However, I can’t divulge any more details. Everything will be out in the next 15-20 days” Pooja Gor admitted to playing lead in Grey’s show but refused to reveal anything else.
