Finally Priyanka Chopra has broken through the ranks. The Bollywood diva who has been trying to make a mark in Hollywood for some time now through her albums and other music ventures has finally inked a one-year deal with talent holding deal with ABC Studios.
As per the contract, the studio will develop a starring project for Priyanka or cast her in of their existing shows set for fall 2015. It is learnt that ABC's casting head honcho Keli Lee travelled all the way to Mumbai to sign Priyanka.
In a statement released by Priyanka, the actress said, "To a storyteller, each platform of performances offers its own artistic challenges, and if you have a good story to tell, regardless of the platform, audience will follow. I have been a longtime fan of ABC shows, and an admirer of how the network has changed the landscape of TV through the diversity of their lead characters. I am honored by the opportunity to share my talent with a game-changing network. ”
