Producer Rajan Shahi talks about his Savdhan India maha movie on Life OK

Well known small screen producer Rajan Shahi (Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai etc ) is making a one hour long Maha Movie for Life OK’s crime show Savdhan India starring Karan Mehra (not to be confused with Karan of Yeh Rishta), Naveen Saini and Pooja Joshi. On the project Rajan shares with Tellychakkar.com, “Director’s Kut is attempting a new genre. Karan is playing a dynamic role and Pooja and Naveen are essaying a mother and father of a kidnapped child. The reason why I chose this subject was that it sends out a strong message to the society.” A source informed that this crime show will talk about how the kidnapping industry operates and the resultant helplessness and frustration of cops (played by Karan) with parents being afraid to take help of the law. The source added that Rajan was so impressed by the script penned by film actor and script writer Manu Rishi (played Bangali in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye) that he asked him to play the negative character. Coming to Karan, who had earlier played a negative role in Rajan’s recently ended show, Amrit Manthan on Life OK, the source added that the producer had then promised him that he will give him a positive role later, a word he kept. The same was confirmed by Rajan himself. The episode will air this Sunday (6 October).
