Ragini Khanna’s daredevil stunt in Bhaskar-Bharti

Ragini Khanna popularly known as Bharti (alter-ego of Bhaskar) of Bhaskar-Bharti recently impressed the cast and crew of the show during the shoot of a particular sequence which required her to perform a rather dare-devil stunt. The sequence in question was the celebration of Gokulashtami (the day that marks the birth of Lord Krishna) and the girl was required to break dahi-handi (a clay pot filled with buttermilk) positioned at a height of roughly 10 feet. Infuriated by the constant taunts by the antagonist Gyan (Jai Kalra), Bharti goes and successfully breaks the dahi-handi in the said episode which will be aired on Thursday, 13 August. Informs a source, “This will be a special sequence wherein both Ragini Khanna (Bharti) and Bhaskar (Eijaz Khan) will be shown breaking the dahi-handi simultaneously at two different locations. Bharti will accompany her office gang to witness the celebrations of the Janmashtami and there she will be pushed by Gyan to attempt such a dare-devil stunt. Gyan overhears Bharti complaining about the manner in which the Govinda (group that breaks the handi) tries to break the handi, and in-turn challenges her to break the handi. Enraged by his constant scoffs, Bharti decides to climb the pyramid and successfully breaks the handi.” “A nostalgic Bharti then reminisces about her past before she turned into a woman. She remembers the time when she was actually the macho Bhaskar who too used to break handis in his hometown Gwalior. The laudable part is that both the actors have attempted this stunt for real without the help of any dupe.” When contacted, Ragini said, “Yes, I did break the handi. This will be a special one hour episode on Thursday.” So wasn’t the actress apprehensive about doing such a stunt? “Yes, it does scare you but one needs to have a positive attitude in life and constantly push oneself to judge one’s competence.
