Sarita Joshi honoured with Padma Shri

 MUMBAI: Veteran actress Sarita Joshi made her debut as a child artist in Titliyan in the 80s. She has now been conferred with the fourth highest civilian award in the country, the Padma Shri.

    The Padma Shri this year, is being awarded to a total of 118 personalities in diverse fields of art, literature, trade and industry, science and technology, medicine, sports, social work, and public affairs.

    Some of her most iconic works include shows like Hasratein, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, and Bh Se Bhade. She has featured in films like Darna Zaroori Hai and Singham Returns. She was bestowed with the Sangeet Natak Akademi award for acting in Gujarati in 1988. 
      
    In one of her interviews, humbled by the news, she says that she feels wonderful as the dedication and professionalism she has given to her work is now being reciprocated with this amazing title. It must feel great to receive the amount of love she is getting right now. She says that she never worked for the awards, but because she saw the beauty in acting at an early age and has ploughed her way ever since. She says she is happy because her children are. After all, she is Padma Shri Sarita Joshi now.
