MUMBAI: Rajan Shahi's "Anupamaa" identifies with the masses and thus has kept the audience engaged since it's debut. Apart from the struggles of a homemaker, the show also has the perfect mix of love, romance and drama to maintain the correct balance. To add to the ongoing drama Rushad Rana will be entering the show in Saturday's (August 8) episode.

The actor will play Anirudh, who is Madalsa Sharma's on-screen character Kavya's husband. Though the couple does not live together, they are not legally separated. Also, it's pretty clear that Kavya is in a relationship with Vanraj, played by Sudhanshu Pandey, who is married to Rupali Ganguly's on-screen character Anupamaa. So far, Kavya was portrayed as the "woh", but with Anirudh's entry, Vanraj will become the "woh" now.

Vanraj is seen as a very stern and dominating character. And now with Anirudh's entry in the show, it will be interesting to see how his character changes, and whether he will be able to understand Anupamaa's pain now. Watch out for the episode to witness the new drama.

"Anupamaa", co-produced by Rajan Shahi and his mother Deepa Shahi under their banner Shahi Production Pvt Ltd., airs Monday to Saturday at 10 p.m. on Star Plus. It also features Paras Kalnawat, Aashish Mehrotra, Muskaan Bamne, Alpana Buch, and Arvind Vaidya.
