Why Bhanujeet refused Basera

Some people can do a perfect balancing act between family and work. Bhanujeet Sudan is one of them. Despite being offered a plum role in Sagar Arts’ Basera, he declined to take it up because of personal reasons. In an exclusive tete-a-tete with TellyChakkar, he shares the compelling reasons that led him to say No to the Sagars. “Just after the role was offered to me, my mother fell in. She stays in Delhi and since my brother does not stay in India, I had to rush to Delhi take care of her,” says Bhanujeet. The actor’s brother is a famous model (Inder Sudan) and is based out of Manhattan. “My mother had a heart attack and it was not possible for him to come down at such a short notice, so I packed my bags and went to Delhi immediately. She had to undergo an emergency operation,” explains Bhanujeet. Unfortunately, the operation led to some complications and Bhanujeet’s mother needed to be hospitalised again. “I had to take a quick decision and I decided to take care of my mother and said No to Sagar Art's Basera. I have moved to Delhi since then and travel to Mumbai on special assignments for a week in a month or more. I will be in the capital for some more time now before going back to Mumbai,” says Bhanujeet who is keeping himself busy with modelling assignments in Delhi.
