Exclusive! “First of all when I got to know that Navdeep Singh is making it, the first plus was that…” – Shruti Jolly on what made her say ‘Yes’ for the character and the show

MUMBAI: A lot of new content has been released and the audience is being entertained with some unique stories. One such OTT series that is grabbing a lot of attention is the Amazon Original Series ‘Shehar Lakhot’.

Shehar Lakhot, created by Devika Bhagat and Navdeep Singh, stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandan Roy, Gyan Prakash, Shruthy Menon, Kubbra Sait, Shruti Jolly and many more.

The story is about a man who is forced to go back to his hometown where he faces his haunting past and has to prove his innocence. The show has been released and it’s doing well in the OTT space.

In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Shruti Jolly talked about the audience's reaction, her experience working with the character and much more.

What do you have to say about the audience reaction?

To this, Shruti Jolly said that the audience likes the show because of its unique storyline and she has been getting good reviews from people about her character as well as for the series.

What made you say ‘Yes’ to the character?

To this, Shruti Jolly said that several factors like Navdeep Singh being one of the creators, Shruti playing a primary part, the script, the character and how relevant it is according to the time, are the factors that made her say ‘’Yes’ for the show. Talking about her character, Shruti said that she has a lot of layers in her character as it has to handle so much in the house and this being her first big project she was excited.

How was your experience working with the cast?

To this, Shruti Jolly said that they were so kind, and made her feel very relaxed and calm and comfortable with no tantrums. She added that since the duration of shooting was long they all became good friends, including actors with whom she had no scenes.
