MUMBAI: There are times when we all get lost in the nostalgia of our college days and feel like going back to those good ol’ days. However, it is not exactly the college that we miss but the times and the people, the fun, the romance, the fights and most of it all, the innocence that was just present in everything we did.

Dil Dosti Dilemma is a fun rom-com series that will definitely give those good vibes and will not let you stop at any episode as the interest would only rise further and further. The series is an adaptation from Andaleeb Wajid’s book Asmara’s Summer and it features Anushka Sen, Kush Jotwani, Vishakha Pandey, Elisha Mayor, Revathi Pillai, Tanvi Azmi, Shishir Sharma, Suhasini Mulay, Mahesh Thakur, Shruti Seth, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.

With a cast so big, the story definitely has to be something interesting and it does indeed. Director Debbie Rao and storywriters Raghav Dutt, Bugs Bhargava Krishna, Manjiri Pupala and Anuradha Tiwari have done a fabulous job of catering to the audience with a variety of platter. Even Radgav Dutt, the dialogue writer has done an amazing work with conveying what the characters really had to say as it gave a definite shape of the character and showed their thought process.

We get to watch a brewing love story, a strong of friendship, personal struggles of not just parents in their marital life but also the struggles of the child who observes it all helplessly. The story deals with a spectrum of emotions and on top of everything, it sheds light on some common stereotypes that people have regarding dressing sense and culture.

This series encompasses a variety of tales woven carefully together which at times will give you a feeling of ease and at other times will bring you right to the edge of your seat but will not for a moment leave you dissatisfied.

According to the story of the series, Anushka Sen’s character, Asmara is all prepared to head to Canada but an unexpected twist changes her summer as is sent to her grandparents' traditional neighborhood as punishment. Now, Asmara pretends to be in Canada to maintain appearances with friends, while she navigates through life learning new lessons, struggling throughout and meanwhile there’s a love story brewing.

When talking about the performances, it is amazing to watch Anushka Sen and even the rest of the young cast as they play perfect young adults. On the other hand, it is a treat to watch Tanvi Azmi, Shishir Sharma and Suhasini Mulay play their roles, showing the other side of the age spectrum.

Surely the concept of the story doesn’t seem to be unique, it is still engaging. While the show seems to be missing a certain aesthetic on screen, the scenes really keep you hooked and will not let you move until you see the end of it. All-in-all, this is feel-good show for a lazy weekend morning that you can easily stretch till evening and you won’t regret it.

Team Tellychakkar gives Dil Dosti Dilemma 3.5/5.
