Parineeti Chopra reveals she lost out on many acting opportunities due to not attending filmy parties, ‘I am not present at the right place at the right time. I am not getting papped every day’

The actress who was recently seen in Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh has revealed how not being present at certain parties and dinners has cost her many jobs.

MUMBAI: Parineeti Chopra is one of the most talented actresses in the Indian film industry. Her films like Kesari, Hasee Toh Phasee, Saina and many more have made a strong mark in the hearts and minds of her fans. The actress who was recently seen in Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh has revealed how not being present at certain parties and dinners has cost her many jobs.

Parineeti opened up about the system of lobbying in the film industry saying, “Getting work in Bollywood doesn’t only depend on merit or acting, you have to be in cliques and camps to get roles. I am not present at the right place at the right time. I am not getting papped every day.” She admitted, “My PR game sucks.’

Parineeti who is Priyanka Chopra’s cousin revealed, “I want to be the voice for actors who aren’t parts of cliques and camps. I hope we break this system of lobbying in Bollywood because I want equal opportunities and work. Parineeti revealed she gained a whopping 15kgs for her role in the Netflix film Amar Singh Chamkila. Due to her physical changes she did not make many public appearances or do brand shoots. 

Parineeti has been part of films like Ishaqzaade, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Shuddh Desi Romance, Hasee Toh Phasee, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Golmaan Again, Mission Raniganj, The Girl on The Train and Meri Pyaari Bindu among many others.
