MUMBAI: Ulka Gupta is a well known actress in the television industry and today, she has a massive fan following.

The actress started her career as a child artist and then rose to fame with her performance in the serial, Jhansi Ki Rani where she essayed the role of the junior warrior.

Recently, she was seen in the serial Banni Chow Home Delivery, where she essayed the role of "Banni''. The audience appreciated her acting chops and she became a household name.

Soon she would be seen in the show Main Hoon Saath Tere alongside Karan Vohra.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked the actress how different the character is and talks about her family reaction on signing the show.

How different is this character of Jhanvi to the other character that you have played?

The story of Jhanvi and Aryaman is very sweet and it's a lovely love story and the process of how it will unfold even I don't know and I am curious as Kian is the life of Jhanvi so let's see what Kiaan would do.

What was your families reaction when they came to know about you bagging the role for this show?

My family was very happy as they have not seen me in a mature role, they have not seen me in an emotional role. Always I have always done the title role and a lot of action, glamour and love stories. They are very interested to see how the outcome is.

What was your reaction when you were offered the role as nowadays actresses think before she does a mom role?

I feel I am an actor and every character is important. I do have doubts but then ultimately I want to be a good actress so that in my journey people should say I have done versatile roles.  Jhanvi is  role I always wanted to do, infact after giving the audition when I was selected I was shocked how come they signed me as I am a tomboy, care free person how can they thought I could pull of a mature role but at the end the makers thought I could pull it off.

Well, the fans are excited to see Ulka in a new character.
