MUMBAI: Time and again, celebs have often bore the brunt of criticism for their risque photos. From Anusha Dandekar to Priyanka Chopra, here are celebs who were trolled for their bold images.

Besides entertaining their fans with their on-screen presence, celebs also drop some treats on social media. From sharing some private moments with their families to posting stunning images of their fashion looks, fans love how they can relate to their beloved celebs.

However, there are times when social media becomes a place of toxicity and netizens end up scrutinising every single area of a celeb's life. In fact, many celebs have been trolled for posting bold images. From Anusha Dandekar and Rihanna to Priyanka Chopra, Taapsee Pannu and Nia Sharma, celebs have often bore the brunt of online trolling.

In some cases, they have given it back to the haters while in other cases, they have remained silent.

Anusha Dandekar

Anusha had recently posted a topless photo with white bikini bottoms. She treated her Insta fam with a bold photo and captioned it, "Say what you need to, my reflection of me, I’m fine with... your words reflect what you see of yourself..." The actress was criticised for her picture and many netizens called her out for "destroying" the culture. One Instagram user wrote, "You don't need to do this Anusha."

Rihanna

International star Rihanna took over the internet with her topless photo. Although it's not just her bold picture that grabbed attention, back home, netizens noticed that she was wearing a lord Ganesha pendant while posing semi-nude. Although she wasn't wearing any top, she accessorised a diamond-studded pendant with a pearl necklace and wore a pair of lilac shimmer shorts.

A social media user went on to write, "Rihanna !! stop using my religion as an aesthetic !! that Ganesh figurine at the end of the chain :( is a holy and sacred figure for us Hindus."

Priyanka Chopra

While Priyanka was a head-turner at the Grammys 2020, several netizens including certain celebs had criticized the actress' outfit that was too bold. Priyanka wore a white gown with frill details and a plunging neckline which was too risque. Priyanka, however, stayed aloof towards the haters.  

Nia Sharma

Telly star Nia Sharma, who is one of the most outspoken actresses on the small screen, took an indirect dig at haters with a bold post. Without any top, she wore a loose jacket with her track pants and wrote, "Call it a life jacket all you want and trip on it.. but I Love it." Nia, too, is often trolled for her bold pictures but she seems unafraid to experiment with her looks.

Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee is no stranger to trolls. During the release of her film Judwa 2, Taapsee had shared a photo in a blue bikini which she had worn in one of the songs in the film. However, the actress was trolled for her revealing outfit. One tweet, which is now unavailable, read: "In our country, we have freedom of expression, so why don't you remove the remaining clothes also. Your brother must be feeling proud of you after watching this.'' 

In reply, Taapsee wrote back, "Sorry Bhai hai nahi varna pakka puch ke bataati. Abhi ke liye behen ka answer chalega????" [Translation: Sorry, I don't have a brother otherwise I would've asked him and told you. For now will you accept a sister's answer?.
