Cellphones on flights? Bollywood Reacts
There have been reports that cellphones might be allowed in flights. So, Tellychakkar.com decided to talk to few celebs and ask their reaction on the same. Ayushmann Khurrana: The only time we truly spend with ourselves is on the flight as we are without cellphones. I’d prefer no phones on flight. Passengers remain silent without the constant cacophony of phones and needless banter. Use of cellphones inside the aircraft would convert it into a fish market. All the in house announcements too would become redundant. Shekhar Kapoor: Oh no! It’s the only time I get undisturbed. If phones are allowed, everyone will be calling. Where do I hide? Naseeruddin Shah: It won’t affect my life. I seldom use it anyway. Shabana Azmi: Satyanaash! The only place the ubiquitous cellphone is not attached to us at the hip and lip is on flight. It has its pluses. But for me personally it will impinge on the space needed to introspect, analyse and process all the activities in our lives. Vishal Dadlani: Would we also be allowed to throw people off, for shouting loudly on their phones? Ha ha. Ram Kapoor: I think that would make our lives a little more convenient. We can stay connected with family during long flights. Santosh Sivan: Ha ha noisy flights. It will feel like being in a call centre. Lilette Dubey: I think phones on planes are terrible idea. The aircraft was the last frontier where one would disconnect from everything. If cellphones are allowed on flight passengers would be talking incessantly. We have phones on planes for emergencies only. This is technical dependency at its worst. Onir: I just hope it’s not beyond the sms. The very thought of hours on a flight with people chatting and phones ringing is a nightmare. Shiamak Davar: I find it tooooo risky. Why risk our lives? Why have them on in midair? Pooja Bhatt: Cellphone on planes? Time to take the train. Pooja Bedi: People, especially Indians, tend to talk very loudly into their cellphones. Given the enclosed spaces in planes it will be a nightmare. I actually used to look forward to sleeping on planes. I guess that would change. Rensil d’Silva: Personally I think they should ban cellphones on flights. It’s one those rare occasions one has the chance to switch off the damned things. Gautam Rode: It will be very annoying, no peace of mind as everyone would be on the phone. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra: For starters it would be very noisy flights. Though I must say connectivity would get a new definition. Rajkummar Rao: Up there at the yawning heights that’s the only time we’re away from our phones and in our own space. Richa Chaddha: I don’t think it will affect anyone’s life except that flights will get a lot noisier.
