For a while now reports of an alleged tiff between Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have been doing the rounds. As per sources, Aishwarya absolutely resents Jaya's domineering nature which has been curbing her freedom. While Aishwarya gets along fabulously with hubby Abhishek and father-in-law Amitabh, it is Jaya who is reportedly believed to be the bone of contention. If sources are to be believed, the two are reportedly not on the same page. Eyewitness accounts suggest that Aishwarya and Jaya reportedly exchanged cold vibes at Kokilaben Ambani's birthday bash where both the ladies preferred to stick with their respective spouses and hardly exchanged even a glance. They apparently remained aloof even at Ahana Deol's wedding. While Aishwarya has always shared an excellent relation with the media owing to her polite and soft spoken nature, firebrand Jaya has had a hot-cold relation. It may well be remembered how Jaya had castigated a section of senior photographers for addressing Aishwarya by her first name. "How can you call her Aishwarya. Has she studied with you in your class," Jaya reportedly asked which didn't go down well with the media. Jaya's dominating nature was very evident when she tried to dictate terms to the media while Aishwarya certainly didn't look like she had any problems if someone addressed her by her first name. Close on the heels of the rumours growing strong, Aishwarya's spokesperson issued this statement which was published in a leading daily. “We think somebody is deliberately spreading these rumours. Such reports keep coming up and the Bachchans have been ignoring these for years. In fact, some time back there were rumours of their divorce and Abhishek had tweeted about it calling it utter rubbish.” Well, as they say, there is no smoke without fire.
