BJP critic Aamir Khan meets Narendra Modi

Success surely gets you admiration from unexpected quarters. While PM Narendra Modi has never been short of Bollywood admirers, no one would have expected Aamir Khan to meet Narendra Modi. After all, Aamir and the uneasy relations he has shared with the BJP in the past is quite well-known. Aamir had publicly slammed the Modi led Gujarat government for their inability to stem the violence in Vadodara. He also attracted BJP's ire when he lent his support to Medha Patkar's Narmada Bachao Andolan. Aamir later refused to apologise for his stance which led to his movie Fanaa being banned in theaters in Gujarat. But after today's meeting, it seems all has been forgotten and forgiven. Sources say that the meeting which happened at south block office of the PMO was nothing more than a courtesy call. Aamir was also spotted with DVDs of his hit show Satyamev Jayate which has thrown open speculations that perhaps the actor wanted Shri Modi to watch a few episodes and give his valuable feedback. The actor and the Prime Minister were later spotted shaking hands for a photo-op. The meeting achieves significance in view of the fact that just last week, Aamir sang praises of Modi in Bhopal. "Modi Saheb has talked of benefiting people, especially the poor and bringing happiness to their lives. We should be cooperative with him so that he achieves his goal," Aamir had told reporters in Bhopal. Well, it looks like after Salman Khan, Aamir too, has been taken in by the charms of our charismatic Prime Mimister, Narendra Modi. Now the only Khan left is Shah Rukh Khan. Will our PM be able to achieve a hat-trick this season? Let's wait and watch.
