Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami team felicitates Mahatma Gandhi

Ekkees Toppon Ki Saalami
Team Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with true fervor by giving an honorable 21 cannon salute to the father of the nation as a special respect for his deeds towards India. The team also felicitated 11 common people who are unsung heroes and have contributed towards the wellness of the society. A core research team had been set up by the makers to identify these people and they were honored so that their story could reach out to the masses. The team also took part in the mass cleanliness campaign by sweeping the roads at Bandstand. The film will also see Anupam Kher as a BMC employee who helps in cleaning the city. Being a film which endorses a clean city, the team came up with the idea of being part of such a drive. In the event took place yesterday at Bandra Fort Garden, present in full force were Abhinav Shukla, Asheema Shukla, Ravindra Gautam, Anupam Kher, Neha Dhupia, Divyendu Sharma, Aditi Sharma, Manu Rishi and Aman Trikha. Producer Abhinav Shukla said, "Gandhiji has had a huge influence on our lives. Probably that also seeped into the way we saw the film shaping up. As we complete the film we believe we have much to thank Gandhiji for. An Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami is still the most apt gift we could have come up." Explaining the reason behind taking up this campaign, Abhinav added, " The protagonist in our film is a BMC worker who has always kept his duty towards the city above anything else. This event not only help us contribute to a very innovative campaign started by our honourable prime minister but also let us relive our film.” Director Ravindra Gautam added, "We have come across many names across the country who has been tirelessly working towards certain causes and without any inclination for monetary rewards. It was only fitting that we also bring to fore their contribution on the day." Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami will open in theaters across India on 10th October.
