Actress Deepika Padukone says she's "not anyone" to comment on the low phase in Ranbir Kapoor's career, but she believes her "Tamasha" co-star is "a huge star who brings a lot in the film".

Deepika was was present at the launch of Axis Bank’s new prepaid wallet app ‘Lime’ here on Friday.

She was asked if she thinks her stardom would help Ranbir to overcome his low phase with "Tamasha".

She smiled and said: “I believe that everyone who comes on board contributes equally to the success or failure of the film. Ranbir is a huge star. Everyone has their ups and downs through their career. I don't think I am anyone to comment on what he has been through."

To mention here, Ranbir's "Besharam", then "Roy" and his last venture "Bombay Velvet", failed to be a success.

While refusing to comment on Ranbir's work, Deepika spoke fondly of "Tamasha", in directed by Imtiaz Ali.

“'Tamasha' is a very special film for all of us. We have all worked individually in a different capacity. I have done 'Love Aaj Kal' with Imtiaz; they both (Ranbir and Imtiaz) worked together in 'Rockstar'; Ranbir and I worked in in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'.

"Inspite of that, we all are very good friends and it was always a dream for me to work with this team," she added.

Talking about the expectation from the film, Deepika stated: “If it does well, we all will be equally responsible and if not, then also we all be equally responsible."

The trailer of "Tamasha" will release on September 22, and the film itself will release on November 27.

Meanwhile, Deepika's energy has channelled into "Bajirao Mastani".

"'Bajirao Mastani' has been extremely demanding physically, emotionally and mentally so much so that I have been completely cut off from every aspect of my life," she said.
