MUMBAI: Last month, actor Dhanush and filmmaker Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth announced their split after 18 years of marriage leaving the fans shocked.

They parted ways on January 17, 2022, announcing it on social media. Thereafter both parents have been feeling uneasy when their kids are not around them, but clearly the differences had become irrevocable and it was not possible to continue the marriage anymore, despite it being 18-years-old. The two have so far decided that they shall not dwell on the reason or reasons with the media that led them to take the major decision.

It may be noted that Aishwaryaa in her recent chat with sections of the media spoke only about her music video and a few other things, but not about Dhanush or their marriage. Whether they take the legal route to end the marriage officially is still not known, but a reconciliation at this point seems unlikely.

For the unversed, Aishwarya just recovered from Covid and returned to work, has again been admitted to the hospital for fever and vertigo problems. The director took to Instagram to make the announcement. She said, "Life before Covid and post Covid.. back again in the hospital, experiencing fever and vertigo and what not! But when you get to meet one of the most beautiful, inspiring, motivational, dynamic doctors to come and spend time with you, it doesn't feel that bad, Doctor Prithikachary! What a start to Women's day eve for me to meet with you ! Honour ma'am."
