MUMBAI: In today's retro movie news segment, let us take a look at the time when Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were very close as friends before they thought of getting married. There was a time when Neetu Kapoor revealed that she knew about Rishi Kapoor's flings, and affairs at outdoor places, that he had after marriage. There is an old interview with the actress where she revealed that she had become mature and indifferent towards Rishi's affairs.
An interview published by Reddit revealed details of Rishi's flirting situation. Neetu had said, "I have caught him flirting hundreds of times. I always seem to be the first to hear about his affairs on outdoor locations. But I know they are just one-night stands. Two years ago, I used to fight with him about it but now I have adopted the attitude ahead, let’s see how long will you do it".
She further said, "We have become very confident about each other. I know his family comes first, so why should I bother about his flings? They are just passing fancies. He is too dependent on me, he will never leave me. I feel that men should be given a certain amount of freedom. They are flirtatious by nature. One cannot bind them down".
Rishi had also mentioned in his memoir titled Khullam Khulla, that Neetu was concerned about his proximity with Dimple Kapadia, his co-star from Bobby. He had said, "Many years into our marriage, Neetu confided in me that the only time she had felt threatened was when I worked with Dimple in Saagar. But she needn’t have worried. Dimple was a friend, even if she may have been a little more than that during Bobby. Ten years had gone by; she was coming out of a marriage with two children of her own and I was also well settled with two kids".
