MUMBAI: The trailer of Salaam Venky was released today at an event in Mumbai. The Revathy’s directorial stars Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in the lead roles, and Aamir Khan has a cameo in it. We do get a glimpse of Aamir in the trailer, but not much has been revealed about it.
At the trailer launch, Revathy spoke about Aamir Khan and his cameo. She said, "Aamir Khan was very sweet. He just said he wanted to read his scenes. We sent the scenes, he read them, and he said he is doing it. This was all over the phone."
"Later, we did a narration with him. It is written so well and beautifully by Sameer and Kausar and he told us that not even one word will be changed and he will do it as it is," she added.
We are sure fans of Aamir Khan would be excited about his cameo in Salaam Venky.
Salaam Venky also stars Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Aahana Kumra. The movie is slated to release on 9th December 2022. It is based on the book The Last Hurrah by Shrikant Murthy. It tells the story of Venkatesh and his mother Sujata. Venkatesh suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and passed away in 2004.
Revathy revealed that the book first came to her in 2006, but she couldn’t make a movie then, and now, after so many years, she has finally made it. The movie will also deal with the topic of euthanasia.
