MUMBAI: Rohit Shetty’s upcoming big-budget film Simmba is set to hit the theatres on 28th December 2018, and even before the release, speculations about it being turned into a franchise with Ranveer are doing the rounds.
The film stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. Ranveer plays a cop in it.
It is being said that Simmba is similar to Singham, and the film might be a franchise.
Putting an end to the rumours, Rohit said to media, ‘Yeh speculations hote rahega and yeh galat nahi hai. But yeh (Simmba) bilkul alag hai. Yeh Singham ka universe hai jismein aur ek bacha bada hota hai aur corrupt officer hai…Jo ki simmba hai. Agar same hota toh main hi bore hojata banate waqt.’
He added, ‘If audiences like him in Simmba, we will definitely continue with him.’
