It is said that once a newcomer gives a hit in Bollywood, he/she is welcomed with open arms that makes way for them to bag more and more films.
A similar case has started to happen with Ranveer Singh. Though the actor gave his first hit in YRF’s Band Baaja Baraat in 2010 and followed it up with Lootera this year, giving a few mediocre films in between, offers didn’t start coming in.
But now with Ram-Leela striking gold at the box-office with superb performances by both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer, people have stood up and recognized that Ranveer is a good actor.
In a first, Ranveer has been approached to do a film of Umesh Shukla, known for giving us the uproarious hit project Oh My God.
Meanwhile in another first, Amitabh Bachchan is to play a 102-year-old man in Shukla’s another film 102 Not Out that has Paresh Rawal playing his 75-year-old son.
102 Not Out is based on a Gujarati play by the same name which has completed 300 shows and is still doing fantastic business.
