Yeh Hai Mohabbatein started off as a rather promising show. It sure had potential, what with the makers depicting a hatke love story of a divorced Punjabi man and his Tamilian neighbour and his daughter from his first marriage acting as cupid. All was well till the illogical and terrifyingly dumb plots started making the rounds of the small screen. We trace the five times the script writers called it quits and just didn’t bother to write a plot…yes, five illogical plots on YHM. Read on:
Ruhi seeking divorce from Raman:
Taking the ridiculous plots by storm was this sequence where little Ruhi wanted a divorce from her father because he wasn’t doing anything to find her favourite Ishi maa. Looks like no woman can be happy with Raman Bhalla. Sigh.
The crocodile track:
Apart from the fact that sworn nemesis Ishita and Shagun dancing to Pinga and then being attacked by a crocodile is the fact that Ishita’s face wasn’t ruined by the wild creature. Well, when our hair and face gets a demon-like touch after a bit of auto ride, here’s an actress who came out without so much a scratch on her face after a crocodile attack.
The ghost track:
If Shagun carrying Ishita’s child wasn’t bamboozling enough, there was a mysterious ghost of Shagun inside Ishita’ body…phew. Even we have lost count of the track.
Hanged till death:
Even though Ishita was hanged till death, she managed to escape from an underground tunnel. Only if all jails could be so generous and awesome, we would sleep more comfortable at night…no? It’s a good thing no cop has sued the show yet. YET.
Mutual misunderstanding:
In order to spice up the show, the makers have constantly thrown in the misunderstanding angle between Raman and Ishita. From wedging a gap between them due to Shagun's pregnancy to causing a rift due to Mihika being suspected of Rinki's murder. Nobody really has such a nasty life, people! In a bid to add drama, YHM has become a mockery of a show.
