5 UNIQUE Honeymoon destinations that Drashti and her hubby could visit!

Newlyweds often think of their honeymoon destination much before booking the wedding hall. Because it's the high point of any marriage...isn't it? It's a glorious period where you learn so many little things about your spouse, even if you've dated him/her half your life.

Joining the long list of matrimonial bliss is our very own Madhubala aka Drashti Dhami who recently tired the know with her business husband Neeraj Khemka. As she gets ready to welcome this exciting phase in her life, we drum up a list of five unique honeymoon destinations that she and her hubby could go to...take a look:

Greece

Move over Paris and Italy, the dream destination of young couples is Greece. Because of the stunning islands, colourful houses and breathtaking scenery. Drashti and her husband can walk hand-in-hand and explore the Virgin Greek Islands that are known for their pristine waters and white sand. Despite being one of the most beautiful places in the world, it's not been showcased by Bollwywood. Unlike our obsession with Switzerland, Greece has never been seen prominently on the big screen.

Kenya

Rich in greenery, fresh water lakes, animal kingdom and African culture, this beautiful country has a lot to offer to travellers. Especially honeymooners. The pretty lady can certainly visit this offbeat destination to enjoy a quiet holiday, away from the prying eyes of her fans. Due to its remote location and cheap currency value, it's a perfect deal for most back-packers and young couples. Even though food is a big concern for most travellers, there are sufficient tourist hotels that server delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in typical African preparation. And who doesn't like safari rides and buying beads and trinkets by the dozen? Yes, the perfect way to freak out!

Lakshadweep Islands

Our very own islands are as stunning as they come. With white sand beaches and snorkelling opportunities, these stunning beaches make for a perfect romantic getaway. The pretty pair of Drashti and Neeraj will be lost in this place for sure. We won't be surprised if they decide to not come back to Mumbai! If you're planning to visit an exotic locale within India, there's no other place than Lakshadweep. Watch the sun set, indulge in water sports or go sailing in the sea, there's so much to do and enjoy! Also, don't forget to try out the local delicacies that are prepared according to your taste buds and liking. What better way to unwind than a yummy plate of piping hot food amidst the setting sun on a white beach?

English countryside

Think English and you'll be reminded of a sometimes sunny and sometimes rainy weather, deliciously hot tea, scones and the delectable English breakfast! If you want to feel like a queen, be sure to visit the stunning castles, rich and green tablelands, winding roads that lead to unexplored museums and valleys, and the lovely dales that offer breathtaking views. Don't forget to make use of the legendary English hospitality. If you're looking for something peaceful, remote and serene, this is the place to be. From quaint little pubs to tiny camping forests to scenic hillocks, there are just so many things the newlyweds can do!

Kerala

International destination may be hot on every Indian's mind, but the beauty of the backwaters of Kerala will make anybody drool. The lush greenery, slow-cooked meat and curry, fresh water and waterfalls, along with Ayurvedic massages...Kerala offers couples a lot of opportunities to bond. It's also one of the better South Indian destinations as almost everybody speaks English, making travelling to remote parts a joyful experience. If you want to simply unwind post all the marriage stress, book yourself a nice, automatic couples' spa and let the masseuse take over! Drashti, are you listening?
