Take a bow, Shaheer Sheikh. Because the handsome actor, as Dev Dikshit, is spot-on. He plays a young businessman who’s struggled a lot to come this way in life. He is stubborn, determined, subdued and charming in the most understated way possible.
Dev’s relationship with his mother Ishawri aka a terrific Supriya Pilgaonkar is believable, touching and rather endearing. We love how their equations are explored subtly without hammering home the obvious. Dev’s dynamics with his three sisters is also worth mentioning, especially the one with Neha.
They are a close-knit hardworking family who are self-made and can go to any length for one another. While there’s not much of Erica Fernandes in the first episode, we know she turns the whole family equilibrium around. The title song is catchy, the setting is relatable, the dialogues genuine and the plot exciting. We can’t wait for the second episode. Can you?
After a two year hiatus, TV sensation Shaheer Sheikh is back with a modern day love story that’s unlike his previous small screen outings. He holds his own in almost every scene. Also, it doesn’t hurt that he is such a looker. We can’t help but drool.
Supriya, whose acting chops are any envy of many, doesn’t fail to deliver this time as well. On a side note, how many of you are digging Supriya in a would-be-saas look? We are still thinking of her adorably na?ve yet feisty bahu avatar from Tu Tu Main Main.
Sony TV’s Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’s first episode is definitely promising as it offers us a glimpse into the lives of today’s nuclear families and eventual love stories.
