MUMBAI: The day he met his idol Amitabh Bachchan was one of the biggest days in actor Aanand Goradiya‘s life. Talking about the incident, he says, “I met him once in film city, it was just a 15 min brief meeting. I was shooting for Laado and he was shooting for his film. I also saw the way he worked. I have heard that He is not a serious actor but a sincere actor. He is a very punctual and dedicated actor,” he says. 

In fact, Aanand has heard many good things about Bachchan over the years. “He not only takes care of himself but takes care of the whole unit. I also heard a story about him from my co-star in ‘Adaalat’. He told that when he was shooting with Amitabh Bachchan for ‘Cheeni Kum’. One day he was informed that he had a shot with MrAmitabh at 10 am the next day, and Amitabh sir heard this whole conversation. So, when my co-star was leaving, Amitabh sir called him up and said to just check with the unit about the time as he will be coming tomorrow at 12 pm, so there might be some mistake. This incident shows his greatness, any other person would have just ignored the fact but Amitabh sir didn't,” he says. 

Aanand is a big fan of his films as well. “I cannot name one Amitabh sir’s film that I love as I love them all. From ‘Anand’ to ‘Namak Halaal’ to ‘Hum’ and ‘Budhha Hoga Tera Baap’, all are such great works. So, it’s very difficult to choose any one film. He is 75 years now and has given 50 years to the industry. He has also inspired us through his work and professionalism,” he says.
