VJ turned actor turned IPL Extraa Innings host on Sony Max, Gaurav Kapur is one charming personality who has his own charm to host a show.

The enthusiastic man, known for his antics and presentation, got into a candid chat with us recently. Gaurav shared, “Hosting IPL Extraa Innings on Sony Max has been a fantastic experience for me. I believe that Extraa Innings has to be interesting otherwise no one would be keen to watch it. Cricket itself is an entertainment and if we fail to impress audience then there is no point of continuing it.”

“Speaking about my antics, I would say that it is a part of my personality. And if my funny style of hosting is able to grab eyeballs successfully then there is no harm in doing so. Even the conversations with players and audience have to be naturally engaging. Television is an informal medium but by no means is it disrespectful. So, while engaging into a conversation, I have to keep all these things in my mind,” added the ace host.

When he was quizzed about necessary qualities that an anchor should posses, Gaurav quickly replied, “I think presence of mind is the most important quality that one should have if that person is into anchoring. This is especially true in case of live shows, where things are not in a controlled situation as there are chances that things might not work properly, so, just to cover it up convincingly, one should posses that presence of mind.”

The happy go lucky man never complains about his hectic schedule and also mentioned that he is very much comfortable with his three IPL Extraa Innings co-hosts.
