Talented actress Aishwarya Sakhuja is keen on getting back to fiction!! After her engaging stint in fiction show Main Naa Bhoolungi and the reality Khatron Ke Khiladi, she is now looking for the next big challenge to come her way.
Says Aishwarya, “I recently refused few clichéd roles, and am looking for the right kind of role to come my way.”
Ask her if luck plays a key role in an actor bagging a new show, and she is quick to say, “I still do not know the answer to this question. Certainly, one needs a lot of luck, but also you need to get the right kind of opportunities too.”
Aishwarya who has been in the industry for quite some time prefers to look for work directly, rather than deploying a manager to help her out. Looking back at the disappointments from previous experiences, she avers, “In the recent past, a lot of people have come in to manage our work. It does make our life a lot easier, but somewhere down the line the clients feel that they want to be in touch with the actor directly. They don't want a mediator and I have lost a lot of work. I want people representing me to represent me the way I do it. There have been times when people managing me are not on the same page, so it gets a bit difficult as they have their way of working and I have my own style of working. So I have chosen to manage my work myself now. I am managing my work directly, and whosoever wants to approach me for work can approach me directly.”
