Actor Ashiesh Roy seems to be in the news these days for all the right reasons!!
His character of the ever-suffering, but much-in-love husband Ashok in the Star Plus show Mere Angne Mein is becoming quite popular with the audience, and his track with the manipulative other woman Nirmala is finally shaping up nicely.
And that is not all. Ashiesh recently returned to his dubbing roots after a two year hiatus (for those who aren’t aware, Ashiesh is a professional dubbing artiste with over 200 feature films and animated television programmes to his credit, including the voice of the Joker in The Dark Knight.) to voice the character of the main villain Leon Rom in the upcoming Warner Bros. feature film The Legend of Tarzan, which shall internationally release on June 30th. He is also writing the Hindi script for his friend Pallavi Chatterjee’s Bengali film Game Plan. Quite a lot on the man’s plate at the moment, we must say.
And the happy tidings continue to pour for the hard working actor, who is just back from a rain-filled holiday in Goa where not only was he invited to be the Chief Guest at the Goa International Short Film Festival, but he also managed to sell one of his own stories for a short film to a well known film producer and restaurant owner.
Talking about it, Ashiesh told us, “Yes, while bonding over some great food at the shack in Goa, my short film got taken.”
Elaborating more on the short story, Ashiesh said, “The short film is an unusual love story set in Goa, with a shocking twist in the end. My sleepless nights are just about to commence as we start prepping for the film early next month.”
“We begin shooting just after the monsoons, when Goa will be verdant green and quite lovely,” he stated.
Here’s wishing Ashiesh all the very best!!
