Balaji's next to REPLACE Razia on &TV

Razia Sultan

&TV is all set to see some major changes in the programming line!

Swastik Productions’ Razia Sultan that was in talks of exiting soon, has finally got its last day of airing. Razia Sultan will now bid goodbye to TV screens end of this month.

Yes, the historical show starring Rohit Purohit, Pankhuri Awasthy and Sambhavna Seth will air its last episode on 23 October.

The show that went under a lot of changes will be replaced by Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum. The love story produced by Balaji Telefilms starring Karan Kundra and Saanvi Talvaar will replace Razia from from 26 October at the 9:30 pm slot.

In August this year, &TV swapped the time slots of two of its fiction properties, ‘Razia Sultan’ and ‘Badii Devrani’. The shows, which aired at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm respectively, exchanged their slots in a bid to connect better with their target audience. While ‘Badii Devrani’ will continue in its new slot, the curtains will go down on ‘Razia Sultan’.

Shared a source, “The show is a historical tale and it was bounded to end logically in the given period.”

We dropped a message to producers Ekta Kapoor and Siddharth Tiwary of both the shows Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum and Razia Sultan respectively but they remained unavailable for comment.

When contacted the spokesperson, they too refused to comment on the same.
