Actress Tanima Sen, a well known name in the Benagli theatre and television circuit, recently joined Colors' Swaragini (Rashmi Sharma Productions). She is seen essaying the role of Swara’s (Helly Shah) grandmother.
Speaking about her character, Tanima said, “I am essaying the role of Shobha, an independent Bong widow, who lives with her daughter and granddaughter."
Talking about the first day of shoot, the veteran actress said, “This is my first Hindi project so I am new to everything and everyone on the sets. They didn’t know much about me so were confused, but I introduced myself to everybody. They were so welcoming that it felt wonderful," added Sen.
Known for her comic timing, the actress mentioned that her Bengali dialect creates a lot of fun moments on the sets. “I was very surprised when they selected me for this role as my Hindi is not fluent, but the makers wanted a character like that. Currently, my co-star Alka (Kaushal) is helping me with my diction”, she said.
The actress has also directed and produced a film Pather Sesh Kothay, which revolves around the parents of a handicapped boy.
We wish the talented lady all the best for her new venture.
