Bhaimilaap: Prateik and Aarya Babbar end cold war at book launch

Aarya Babbar and Prateik Babbar

Aarya Babbar couldn't have asked for a better launch for his debut novel, My fiancee, me and I f***ed up. Big wigs from both TV and film world graced the occasion to bless the family members. The Babbar family was in full force from Papa Raj Babbar, mother Nadira, sister Juhi to her actor husband, Anup Soni. But one man who remained conspicuous by his absence was Aarya's step-brother, Prateik Babbar.

It may well be remembered that Prateik has always shared a not so cordial relationship with his step family. So much so that Prateik used to hate being called 'Babbar' at one point. He preferred just Prateik and his managers too were careful in instructing media that Babbar should never be used while addressing him.

However, all that is a thing of the past now. At the launch while everyone assumed that Prateik would not come given that two hours into the event there was no sign of him, the actor made a superstar entry at the last moment. Aarya who was speaking on stage was overwhelmed seeing Prateik enter and stopped his speech mid way and proudly announced, "My brother Prateik is here."

What followed was a scene straight out of Ramayan. The two brothers warmly locked each other in a long embrace and lensmen couldn't stop clicking. Prateik later shared stage with his entire family and was seen bonding fabulously with Raj Babbar, a rare moment. Prateik later eagerly spoke about Aarya's book and said that theirs is like any other brother-brother relationship.

All's well that ends well, we say.
