Bigg Boss 13: Rashami Desai spills the beans about her divorce from ex-husband Nandish Sandhu

Rashami Desai has opened on her life's struggle and separation from her ex-husband Nandish Sandhu

MUMBAI: Sizzling siren Rashmi Desai has gone through a rough patch in life as her marriage to Nandish Sandhu hit rock bottom and they separated within a few years. In the past, the Bigg Boss 13 contestant has spoken at length about her separation. Once again, she has got candid about her life's struggle and how she faced society judgement during her divorce. She spoke about the phase and called it 'stressful'.

Rashami Desai mentioned that during the time of the divorce, she pretended to be someone she was not as she did not want people to know about the emotions that she was going through. She was quoted saying by the portal, "Honestly, when I was in that process, the entire process was stressful. I couldn’t deal with it. Hence, I wasn’t being myself and was trying to be someone who I was not."

The Dil Se Dil Tak actress then spoke about getting judged by the society and how judgments are passed only towards one person. She rightfully said that if two people are getting divorced then they should be judged as a 'couple'. "I was always upfront, but during that phase, everyone was doubting me. People judge you independently and not as a couple. They don’t understand that it was between two people. There must be a reason right? We got separated and the partner has moved on and I am doing good,” she said.

Rashami also mentioned that her character and her intent was being judged by the people in anything she did and there was nobody to take care of her then. She spoke about being in depression and how she managed to overcome it. "There used to be numbness in me. I was in depression and no one understood or took care of me. There was nobody to acknowledge my issue. My childhood was troubled, but thankfully my professional life was good. My personal life was messy but I realised that I am not answerable to anyone but me. The moment I realised things became easier," she said.
