The Rabba… unit planned a surprise party for Sangeeta and Aroona Irani, but it didn't go exactly as planned. Lead actor Sangeeta Ghosh and Zee's Rabba Ishq Na Hove producer Aroona Irani share the same birthday - that's today, 18 August. To mark the same, the crew members of Rabba... decided to throw a surprise party on Wednesday, at Garden Resort near Madh, where most of the TV shoots in Mumbai take place. Rather sweet, we must admit. But much to the plight of the crew, their surprise didn't really go as planned. Sangeeta had a shoot on Wednesday and the crew secretly asked Aroona to come along too, citing the excuse of a few extra takes. Aroona, however, couldn't make it since she is recuperating from an appendix surgery! So, much before the shoot started, the plan for a double whammy blast flopped. Shoots in India can't do without a late start, so this one did as well. When Sangeeta came on to the set, around 9.45 pm, two hours behind scheduled but looking gorgeous nonetheless, she had no idea that they were going to throw her a surprise party. Well, the occasion was a fine one too, as she was shooting for a birthday sequence on the show as well. That explains the lovely evening gown she was wearing. Nikkhil Arya, who had no clue about the surprise either, was pulled in to break the surprise to Sangeeta. So, while she sat at her table, Nikkhil kept running around, thinking of a good way to break the ice. Anyway, after some deliberation they managed to get a mic, which did not work! So each time Nikhil tried to speak into it, the mic went off. So much for his share of troubles! Finally, they managed to get the mic working but the sound from the speakers just didn't match up! Well all's well that ends well, so Sangeeta made it to the set without any more delays and cut a cake which was initially bought for both her and Aroona Irani. "It's a great pleasure that Aroonaji and I share the same birthday! I wish she could be here with us, so we could celebrate together," said Sangeeta with a sigh. "I love Aroonaji, I love the cast of Rabba..., so let's celebrate!" she added with a laugh. "Aroonaji and Sangeeta are the biggest angels on the sets of Rabba, here's wishing them a very happy birthday!" said Nikkhil, enthusiastically. The cake was cut and Sangeeta had a blast gobbling it. With everything back on track, well almost, shooting resumed and it was work as usual for the Rabba... team.
