Casting Director Vivek Joshi misses the Bigg Boss bus

Bigg Boss 8 is underway on Colors. Well, while Mr. Gay India Sushant Divgikar makes merry inside the house, we have the known Casting Director Vivek Joshi who missed the bus to the Bigg Boss house to occupy the ‘gay’ spot. Yes, Vivek Joshi who has earlier been the Casting Director with Rowdy Rascals and is currently with the National Award winning Producer Madhur Bhandarkar for quite some time now, was almost on the verge of signing the prized contract of Endemol India for the show. Says Vivek, “Yes, it is true that I was offered this season’s Bigg Boss. I had many rounds of meetings with Endemol as well as the Colors teams. I was almost in as the gay guy in the line-up. But their concept made me step back; they wanted me to do certain things which would have harmed my casting career once I got out of the house. Considering this, I refused to take it up at the last minute.” Vivek will also feature in a very important role, that of a gay character in Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming movie Calendar Girl. The Casting Director now wants to venture out and try out his cricketing skills at the BCL. “I have got offers from two teams right now, and I am going to accept a team’s offer,” states Vivek.
